Born on 8 March 1990 in San Felice a Cancello, a small province in Caserta, Pietro Terracciano is an experienced goalkeeper, shaped by years of hard work and perseverance. His journey has been long. After coming through the ranks of Avellino's youth squad, his first professional experience came in 2009/10 with Nocerina in Lega Pro's Seconda Divisione, a division he also played in the following season with Milazzo. After two successful years, Terracciano chose to stay in the South of Italy but make a crucial jump in his career and join Catania. He remained in Sicily from 2011 to 2013, serving mainly as a backup goalkeeper, though he did make his Serie A debut on 25 April 2012. This was followed by spells at Avellino, Salernitana, and Empoli, experiences that paved the way for the most significant chapter of Terracciano's career, his time at Fiorentina. He joined the Viola in January 2019 and stayed until the summer of 2024, becoming a regular starter, particularly under coach Vincenzo Italiano. During this period, he played a key role in the seasons that saw the Tuscan side return to European competition and reach three finals between the Coppa Italia and the Conference League, matches in which Pietro featured as the starting goalkeeper.
