At AC Milan since:2019

Born in Foča, a small town located in the east of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Rade Krunić developed as a footballer at Sutjeska Foča, his hometown club, where he also debuted for the first team. The Bosnian then moved to Serbian side Donji Srem, where, in over 50 appearances, he produced many convincing performances.

After a short spell at Borac Čačak, another Serbian side, he was signed by Marco Giampaolo's Empoli in the summer of 2015. He continued to grow in Serie A and went on to enjoy a particularly good season in 2018/19, scoring five goals and providing seven assists. In the summer of 2019, he made the move to AC Milan, where he has proved to be a solid and versatile alternative in the Rossoneri midfield thanks to his ability to play in various roles.

As of June 2023, he has spent four seasons at the Rossoneri, made 125 appearances in all competitions and scored three goals, two of which came in 2020/21. He bagged the other against FC Salzburg during AC Milan’s 2022/23 Champions League campaign. He has also netted on four occasions for Bosnia, for whom he has won 29 caps.
