Strahinja Pavlović was born in Šabac, Serbia, on 24 May 2001 and, despite his young age, already has several clubs and a long "predestined" path behind him. A product of the Partizan Belgrade youth academy, he made his first-team debut at the age of 17, on 23 February 2019, in a 3-0 win over Proleter Novi Sad. He went on to make 11 league appearances that season and started in the Serbian Cup Final, won against Red Star. In January 2020 he was signed by Monaco, who left him on loan at Partizan until the following summer. After six months with limited game time in the Principality, he was loaned out first to Cercle Brugge and then to Basel.

Strahinja would not return to Monte Carlo, joining Salzburg permanently in June 2022. In Austria he found minutes, trust and confirmation of his qualities as a quick, aggressive defender who is excellent in the air thanks to a remarkable spring, also dangerous going forward. At Salzburg, in addition to developing into a strong marker over large stretches of pitch, he also gained important experience as a key player in the Champions League. In Rossonero colours he has grown season after season, proving comfortable both in a back four and in a back three: by June 2026 he had 73 appearances across all competitions, with 7 goals. As of May 2026, Strahinja had 55 caps (and 5 goals) for the senior national team, with whom he was a starter at Euro 2024 and a leading figure at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
