Yunus Musah was born on 29 November 2002 in New York, but at just a few months old his family - of Ghanaian origin - moved to Castelfranco Veneto in Italy. He learnt to play football with Giorgione, and at twelve years old joined Arsenal's Academy. A few years later, in the summer of 2019, Valencia came calling: after a year with their B Team in the Segunda División B, he made his first team league debut for them at the age of just 17 years and eight months old. In three seasons there, he appeared 108 times, scoring five goals, and became the first American and Englishman to play for the Club, as well as the youngest foreign player to score in the Club's history.

After going through the English youth teams, he accepted the call from the United States in November 2020, where he won some important caps in 2022 World Cup qualification. In Qatar, he was part of Team USA, playing all four games in the tournament. In the following months after that, he won the CONCACAF Nations League 2022/23 and was chosen in the Top 11 team of the competition. He joined AC Milan in the summer of 2023, demonstrating his versatility and ability to be ready whenever called upon. In his first two seasons with the Rossoneri, he made 78 appearances across all competitions, culminating in the 2025 Italian Super Cup victory, where he was instrumental in the semifinal, his cross resulting in the own goal that sealed the victory against Juventus. At the same time, he continued his international career, participating in the 2024 Copa America: as of June 2025, he had made 47 appearances for the United States.
