Born in Abano Terme on July 2, 2000, Angelica Soffia emerged at a very young age as a talented, versatile prospect, able to play both in midfield and at right back. She made her Serie A debut at 15 with AGSM Verona in February 2016 and scored 7 goals in 55 appearances over three seasons with the Gialloblù, also making her European debut in the Women's Champions League. In the summer of 2018 she moved to Roma, where she continued to develop with excellent results: 85 games and two goals over four seasons, the 2020/21 Coppa Italia title and a place in the Italian national team. As of June 2025 she had earned 13 caps for Italy, including a brace against Austria in a June 2021 friendly. She joined the Rossonere in the summer of 2022, and her outstanding performances over her first two seasons earned her a well-deserved contract extension through June 2027. Her 2024/25 season was just as noteworthy: 25 total appearances and a spot on the 35-player preliminary roster for EURO 2025, from which she was ultimately ruled out by injury. She returned to the Italy fold for the 2027 World Cup qualifiers, and by the end of the 2025/26 season she had made 92 appearances with 6 goals across all competitions for AC Milan.
