Kay-Leede Sanders

Born in Amsterdam on January 6, 1998, Kay-Lee de Sanders developed at Abcoude (a mixed team where her teammates included former Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt), Buitenveldert and CTO Amsterdam. In 2017 she became a full member of the Ajax First Team, spending 8 important seasons (and making 103 total appearances) with the club, winning the Eredivisie twice (2017/18 and 2022/23, the latter under Suzanne Bakker), four Dutch Cups and one Eredivisie Cup. She joined AC Milan in the summer of 2025 and in her first year in Italy became an undisputed starter in the Rossonere defense, playing all 28 official games and scoring once, against eventual champions Roma. After featuring for the Netherlands at Under-17 and Under-19 level, De Sanders chose to represent Suriname in 2025.
