Leda Gemmi was born in Milan on May 25, 2006, and joined the Rossoneri youth system at just 9 years old, rising through every age group. In 2021/22 she won the Scudetto with the Under-17s and, two years later, claimed the title again with the Women's Primavera. In the summer of 2024 she inherited the Primavera captain's armband from Nadine Sorelli, at a time when she was also part of Italy's Under-19 national team. An injury sidelined her in January 2025, but it did not stop her from signing her first professional contract with AC Milan in the spring of 2025 and joining the First Team for the 2025/26 season, a campaign in which she still helped the Women's Primavera to a superb second Scudetto, starting in the Final against Sassuolo.
