Marta Mascarello was born in Bra on October 15, 1998, and joined the Albese youth system at a young age. At 14 she signed with Alba in Serie A2, staying with the Piedmont club until 2015, when she moved to Cuneo without leaving her home region. There she played a leading role in the club's promotion to Serie A, where she made her top-flight debut the following season. In 2017 she moved to Tavagnacco, standing out over two seasons before joining Fiorentina. With the Viola she saw less playing time in her first two seasons (16 appearances and one goal in 2021/22), but she made her Champions League debut and earned her first call-ups to the Italian national team, debuting on March 4, 2020, at the Algarve Cup against Portugal. She joined the Rossonere in the summer of 2022 and made an immediate impact: in her first four seasons at AC Milan she recorded 93 official appearances and 2 goals, both in 2023/24.
