Following Bayern Munich 1-0 AC Milan which kicked off the Rossoneri’s 2019 ICC campaign, Marco Giampaolo spoke at his post-match press conference at Children’s Mercy Park in Kansas City. This was what he had to say straight after the match.

“I saw lots of effort, a lot of attention was paid to the things we've worked on over the last ten days. It was our first match, Bayern Munich's third at a high level. I saw the guys were ready to make sacrifices and suffer, they're giving their all at this moment.”

“It’s always important to get the chance to test yourself against teams of a high standard. This competition allows you to do this. I’m interested in the growth of the team and I can consider myself satisfied at this point.”
HERNÁNDEZ AND GABBIA
“I really like what I saw from Theo when he was on. The doctors will think and try to give us an exact insight into his injury. I also liked Gabbia a lot, I ask for a lot from players in that role in how they read the game. It's always easier to work when the players are ready to listen.”
