Selected in the trequartista role after returning to the Club in the summer, Brahim Díaz, with the number 10 on his back, enjoyed an excellent start to the new league campaign. Not only did he score the decisive goal against Sampdoria on matchday one, he’s also been voted as the Rossoneri MVP from the match by our fans on the AC Milan Official App.
The Spaniard’s first-half finish ensured that the Diavolo ran out 1-0 winners against the Blucerchiati at the Marassi, thus handing Coach Pioli’s men their first three points of the season. Díaz received 45% of the vote share, finishing ahead of Tonali, Calabria and Tomori.
During the 69 minutes he spent on the pitch, Díaz covered more than 8.4 km, scored once and had three shots (two of which were on target), while he also achieved an 86% pass precision rate. Meanwhile, he also had a dribble success rate of 50%, completed 32 passes and made three recoveries.
He was the key player, displaying pace and technique as he moved between the lines and created dangerous situations at the Ferraris. He also showed confidence and character at the start of a season where he could play an even more crucial role. Vamos Brahim, keep it up!
