On Sunday 17 May at 15:00 CEST, AC Milan will face Ternana at the Stadio Moreno Gubbiotti in Terni on matchday 22 of Serie A Women, the final fixture of the season. With the campaign drawing to a close, the Rossonere will be looking to end the season with a convincing performance in a match with only the three points at stake. As kick-off approaches, here's our Match Preview.

LATEST FROM PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
AC Milan come into this match on the back of a convincing 3-1 win over Parma, a result that saw the Rossonere return to winning ways following a narrow defeat to Inter and a draw against Napoli in their previous two outings. Bakker's side head into the final game of the season with a full squad available, with no suspensions and an empty treatment room.

"Together, we want to finish the season on a positive note, playing good football based on our own style of play and giving maximum effort for one another." Suzanne Bakker's words on the eve of the clash.

    LATEST FROM TERNANA
    Ternana
head into this match on the back of two consecutive league defeats, failing to score in either game. Ardizzone's side will look to make the most of home advantage to trouble the Rossonere and bring their losing run to an end. Despite their recent struggles, the Umbrian outfit can approach the final matchday with peace of mind, as they are already mathematically safe thanks to a four-point gap over Genoa.

    PRE-MATCH STATS

    • AC Milan have remained unbeaten in 26 of their 28 Serie A matches against newly promoted sides (W21, D5), winning each of their last three - including a 3-0 victory over Ternana in the reverse fixture on 25 January.
    • After their 3-1 win over Parma last time out, AC Milan (whose next victory would be their 100th in the top flight) could win back-to-back league matches for the first time since between late January and early February (the first game in that run was against Ternana).
    • AC Milan have scored 97% of their goals in this Serie A campaign from inside the penalty area (30/31), the highest percentage in the league. The Rossonere are also, alongside Genoa Women and Ternana Women, one of the three sides to have scored the fewest goals from outside the box this season (one each), although that first strike came in their most recent match against Parma.
    • With her brace last time out, Christy Grimshaw became AC Milan's third-highest scoring foreign player across all competitions with 17 goals – only Lindsey Thomas (22) and Evelyn Ijeh (21) have scored more for the Rossonere. The 30-year-old has never scored in consecutive appearances for AC Milan.

In Italy, Ternana v AC Milan will be broadcast live on DAZN. Full coverage will also be available across AC Milan Women's official Instagram account, on acmilan.com, and via the AC Milan Official App, where the full match replay will be available on demand from the following day.
