In the opening months of the season, when AC Milan’s Primavera weren’t running away at the top of the league, Marco Brescianini was the beacon of Giunti’s team. He was acting as stand-in captain while awaiting Emanuele Torrasi’s return and was leading a group who were striving for a real identity. He scored six goals in the first eight games, earning nine points for his side: specifically, the winning goals against Pordenone, SPAL and Venezia.
He’s got great physicality, a powerful left foot, great positional play and, thanks to Coach Giunti, this season he and the team have had more attacking freedom, something which he’s made the most of. He’s scored some great goals, such as his free kick against Verona and the magic he produced in the Cup against Spezia. In doing this, he showed he knows how to stay one step ahead of his age group.
In the summer, together with other AC Milan Primavera teammates, he took part in the International Champions Cup tour. From December onwards, due to a mixture of injuries and also on merit, he’s appeared in the senior squad on a regular basis, playing his last Primavera matches at the end of January in the league against Venezia and in the Coppa Italia quarter-final against Fiorentina.
He’s yet to make his dream Serie A debut, but his chance will soon come. Unsurprisingly, the Club has chosen to renew his contract until 2024 and his career will inevitably advance after his good performances, both from a technical point of view and in terms of his character, in the youth sector in which he’s been a key player since 2008.
