AC Milan Primavera's first two draws of the season have come in their last two games: 0-0 against Roma, 0-0 against Genoa. After 15 games played, the table reads ninth position with 20 points taken. There have been positive flashes and the odd misstep, but it's been half a season that has shown what this team can do - both technically and in terms of mentality.
The first three games of the second half of the season, meanwhile, represent a significant test for Coach Giunti's boys: Cagliari, Atalanta and Juventus. Early in the season, AC Milan took three points from a possible nine against the same three teams - between 19 September and 3 October, before the long break; they beat Cagliari on opening day before defeats to Atalanta and Juventus, in which they did actually play well.
The Sardinian outfit, who finished second last season, are unbeaten since 17 February and have won three and drawn three in their last six games. They won against SPAL, Lazio and Juventus (3-0) and drew to Roma, Sampdoria and Empoli. In the reverse fixture at Asseminello, Enrico Di Gesù marked his debut with a goal that brought the Rossoneri a victory on their return to Primavera 1.
Like Cagliari, Atalanta are working their way back up the table: five wins and two draws in their last ten. These will be tough games, which will test our boys to the best of their ability, but it is just these types of fixtures that cause a team to grow. No fear, there's room to have fun and play well.
