Despite a drop in results (one point in their last three matches), this hasn’t impacted the U15s too dramatically: the team have already secured their spot in the round of 16 of the national finals, thus following the U17s’ example. This is thanks to the twelve victories they picked up in their first 14 games of the season, resulting in an excellent points tally that they very much deserve. With 44 goals to their name, the Rossoneri have the second-best attack across all the divisions.
The regular season is about to enter its final matchday, with the Rossoneri set to face Cittadella at Vismara. Coach Bertuzzo's team still need a point to mathematically confirm first place, a position that guarantees a more favourable draw going forward. This is ultimately thanks to one of the highlights of the team’s season: the 5-1 win against Atalanta on February 12, meaning the Rossoneri have the better head-to-head record.
This is Coach Bertuzzo’s assessment: "Things have gone well so far. We’ve shown consistency in our performances, including in our last few games, even if we didn’t achieve the results we were hoping for. We qualified for the round of 16 in advance, and now we’re playing for top spot. After the that, we’ll prepare the boys as best we can for a new situation for them – the knockout matches that await."
With Atalanta also certain of their spot in the Final Eight, those progressing directly from Group B are confirmed. The same applies to Group C: Roma and Napoli have achieved direct qualification, with Frosinone, Benevento, Lazio and Reggina in the play-offs (in AC Milan’s group, Inter, Brescia and Udinese are sure of their play-off involvement). Group A, however, is much more balanced: Cagliari have already qualified (they need just a point to finish top), while Monza, Torino and Juventus are competing for second spot. Meanwhile, the play-offs await Sampdoria and Genoa.
