A LOOK AT THE YOUNG ROSSONERI'S SEASON

The end-of-year report for our men's youth teams

AC Milan’s men’s youth teams' season once again confirmed the quality of the pathway built by the Club’s Youth Sector. Every age group approached its respective campaign with a strong sense of identity and belonging, supporting the development of individual players within a competitive environment. Many youngsters earned important opportunities at higher levels, a sign of an increasingly connected technical structure focused on player development from grassroots football through to elite competition.

Giovanni Renna’s Primavera side finished the season in 11th place, a result that only partly reflects the value of AC Milan’s journey. The team competed with a large number of underage players, maintaining a clear footballing identity and showing consistent signs of growth thanks to its direct link with Milan Futuro. Behind them, Marco Visconti’s Under-18 side confirmed its role in the Club’s internal development pathway, providing several players to both the Primavera and Milan Futuro squads without sacrificing competitiveness. It was also a positive campaign for Simone Baldo’s Under-17 side, who finished fifth in their group and narrowly missed out on the Playoffs after a season played with consistency and quality.

Marco Parolo’s Under-16 side enjoyed a top-level season, finishing second in the regular season. The Rossoneri displayed great maturity and solidity throughout the campaign, only falling after extra time in the Playoff quarter-finals against Pescara following a closely contested two-legged tie. It was also a positive campaign for Alessandro Artusa’s Under-14 side, who finished second at the end of the group stage and qualified for the Interregional Phase, although their campaign ended without progression from a group including Juventus, Genoa and Monza.

Still in contention for silverware in their respective final stages are the Under-15 and Under-13 sides. Lorenzo Cresta’s Giovanissimi were the dominant force in Group B of their category, with the Rossoneri finishing top while showcasing impressive attacking quality. Their playoff run remains open following a 1-1 draw in the first leg against Juventus in Turin, with qualification to be decided on Sunday at the PUMA House of Football. Meanwhile, Michele Ravera’s Under-13 side won their group and secured qualification for the final stage in Tirrenia, the final event of the season.
