    Fondazione MilanOctober 17th 2025

Fondazione Milan has long championed the power of sport as a driver of social change and a tool to support the wellbeing of young people. Today, that commitment is focused on one of the most pressing challenges facing younger generations: mental wellbeing.

At the heart of the initiative is a belief that supporting mental wellbeing begins long before moments of crisis. By helping young people develop self-awareness, confidence, meaningful relationships and a sense of belonging from an early age, it is possible to build stronger foundations for lifelong wellbeing. Sport plays a unique role in this journey, creating safe, inclusive environments where these skills can flourish.

The initiative will first come to life on AC Milan's jersey, produced in collaboration with the Club's Technical Partner PUMA - a global sports brand that has partnered with Madhappy since 2025 on a series of apparel collaborations rooted in a shared spirit of optimism and wellbeing. For the first time, Fondazione Milan will dedicate its space on the back of the Club's shirt in European competitions to another organization: The Madhappy Foundation, whose mission is to advance mental wellbeing. Starting with AC Milan vs. Benfica and throughout the 2026/27 UEFA Europa League campaign, the initiative will leverage the Club's global platform to raise awareness of this important issue among fans around the world.

The Madhappy Foundation was selected for its ability to engage authentically with younger generations and bring an international perspective to conversations around mental wellbeing. Founded in Los Angeles, Madhappy is a clothing brand built around an optimistic ideology, with mental wellbeing at the core of its identity. Through The Madhappy Foundation, the brand commits 1% of net sales to mental health initiatives, supporting research and organizations including The JED Foundation, Child Mind Institute and the University of Pennsylvania’s Positive Psychology Center. Together, Fondazione Milan and The Madhappy Foundation aim to amplify the conversation and inspire greater awareness among young people globally.

This initiative builds on Fondazione Milan's long-standing commitment to using sport as a lever for inclusion, growth and social change, with particular attention to young people and more vulnerable communities. Since 2003, the Foundation has invested more than €13 million in social projects in Italy and around the world, reaching over 200,000 beneficiaries.

The Madhappy Foundation’s presence on the jersey marks the beginning of a broader journey. Throughout the season, Fondazione Milan will develop a series of projects, awareness campaigns and community initiatives, in collaboration with UEFA through its Take Care program, an educational initiative dedicated to enhancing health and wellbeing awareness among children and young people, encouraging them to adopt responsible habits and actions through the power of football. Together, these efforts aim to foster greater understanding of mental wellbeing and encourage young people to prioritize their mental health.
