Walker for England, Pavlović for Serbia and Gimenez for Mexico, all three were in action yesterday. Serbia cruised to victory against Andorra in World Cup qualifying. Strahinja Pavlović played the full 90 and had fewissues in containing Andorra's attacking forays. The Rossoneri's centre-back played well but was rarely put under any real pressure.
It was a tough night for England, who lost 3-1 to Senegal in a friendly at the City Ground in Nottingham. It was a less-than-stellar performance overall for the Three Lions, captained by Kyle Walker after Kane went off, as they struggled to deal with Senegal's pace and intensity.
Mexico recorded a narrow victory over Türkiye in their friendly in Chapel Hill. Santiago Gimenez came on with 20 minutes to go, lending his physicality and hard work with his back to goal to keep El Tri on the front foot late in the day. He made a big impact at a delicate moment in the match.
