It was another big day for the Rossoneri away on international duty. Though there were few positives, we did get to see the return of Rafa Leão for Portugal.

AC Milan's number 10 came on in the 61st minute of Portugal's 1-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland and added his pace to the game. He attacked the space left by his opponents, looked dangerous in the open field, and acted as the man over. He came close to scoring on the counter, firing just wide after a long run into the box.

Three other Rossoneri were involved yesterday. Strahinja Pavlović played the full 90 for Serbia against Albania. The hosts dominated in Leskovac, but Rey Manaj scored the winner for Albania. The Milan man played on the left and put in a solid display, winning plenty of aerial duels. Serbia failed to finish on numerous occasions and are now at risk of missing out on the play-offs to Albania, in a group dominated by England.

On the other side of the world, Santiago Gimenez was in action. El Bebote played 67 minutes for Mexico in a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Colombia in Arlington, Texas. El Tri were under the cosh for most of the game, so Gimenez had to play with his back to goal. He tried to get in behind but wasn't clinical in front of goal. He was subbed off in the second half with the result beyond doubt, but it's good minutes in the legs.

Matteo Gabbia, meanwhile, didn't play in Italy's 3-1 win against Estonia in Tallinn.
