SWITZERLAND DENIED BY LATE QATAR EQUALISER, JASHARI PLAYS FINAL MINUTES

Switzerland were left frustrated after Qatar equalised late on in the 95th minute in their opening World Cup match. Embolo’s first-half goal had the Swiss on course for all three points, but Khoukhi struck in the 95th minute to level the score after Switzerland had passed up several opportunities to double their lead. Jashari came on for Freuler just before full-time, testing the goalkeeper with a shot from outside the box during a frantic finish to the game. Switzerland are back in action on Thursday 18 June at 21:00 CEST in Inglewood against Bosnia-Herzegovina.
