VILLA VALLE v MILAN FUTURO: MATCH PREVIEW

Rossoneri on the road for Matchday 13

Milan Futuro return to action on Matchday 13 of Serie D’s Group B, as Oddo’s side travel to Villa d’Almè to take on Villa Valle, a club based just outside Bergamo. After two weeks without competitive fixtures – a stretch broken up by last Friday’s friendly against Virtus Entella – the Rossoneri are back on the pitch at 14:30 CET at the Comunale on Via Ronco Basso.

LATEST FROM MILAN FUTURO
The last league outing, played away at Sondrio on Saturday 9 November, ended in defeat. Therefore, this trip to Villa d’Almè is a chance to bounce back and stay within reach of the top of the table. A number of players featured in last week’s friendly against Virtus Entella, a useful run-out to keep sharp and build minutes after the postponement of the home clash with Real Calepina (now set to be played on Wednesday 26 November at 14.30 CET). The loss in Sondrio halted a run of two wins back-to-back (against Folgore Caratese and Oltrepò), but with the international break now behind them, the Rossoneri will be looking to get back to winning ways.

LATEST FROM VILLA VALLE
Villa Valle have competed in Serie D since 2017/18, usually in Group B apart from last season’s stint in Group C. They sit on 17 points, the same as Milan Futuro but with one extra game played. It’s a young squad led by Marco Sgrò, a 1970-born former midfielder who spent his career between Serie A and B with clubs including Genoa, Sampdoria, Atalanta, Monza and Fiorenzuola. This is Sgrò’s third year in charge, but he approaches this fixture during what is perhaps the toughest spell of their campaign: three consecutive defeats (against Pavia, Chievo Verona and Casatese Merate) and just one goal scored in their last five outings, despite a promising start to the season. In the last few hours, the squad has been strengthened by the arrival of midfielder Tommaso Paganessi: "It's a pleasure to face opponents like Milan, who push you to do better. This should be extra motivation to push hard and assert ourselves."

WHERE TO WATCH MILAN FUTURO
