LATEST FROM MILAN FUTURO
Since that win in the Verona area, the Rossoneri have recorded two draws, against Club Milano and Pavonese. However, these results aren't neccessarily steps backwards. Despite missing several players who were called up to the First Team by Rúben Amorim, Sergio Navarro's side put in two strong performances, with both emerging talents and familiar faces making their mark. Among the new faces, Gabriele Borsa stands out. After making his first appearances in Serie D, he signed his first professional contract in recent days. Luca Nolli and Max Anastasio also deserve a mention, having made their Serie D debuts at Pavone del Mella after impressing at the Primavera level. As for those continuing to make an impact, Levis Asanji is certainly worth highlighting, having found the net in each of his last three games. The matchup against the Rossoblù kicks off another busy week for Milan Futuro, with three games on the schedule, including the rescheduled second half of their match against Piacenza on Wednesday, November 4th.
LATEST FROM VIRTUS VERONA
Last season's disappointing relegation brought an end to a historic run for the Borgo Venezia-based club, which had spent eight consecutive seasons in Serie C, including three playoff appearances. Their first season back in the amateur leagues has been something of a mixed bag so far. They picked up eight points in their first four games, but have managed just four points in their next five, including a draw in the first Derby against Chievo. Their most recent outing ended in a narrow defeat against surprise league leaders Nibbiano&Valtidone. Still led by Luigi Fresco, who has served as both club president and head coach since 1982, Virtus Verona has a clear tactical identity. Fresco praised Milan Futuro's young talents ahead of the game in his pre-match interview. His side typically lines up with a three-man defense, most often in a 3-5-2 formation, supported by a group of attacking players that has recently welcomed back Bologna academy graduate Mattia Pagliuca, who previously played for the club from 2024 to 2026.
