CALDIERO TERME v MILAN FUTURO: MATCH PREVIEW

It's been a little over a month since Milan Futuro beat Chievo in Verona in an impressive victory. Now Milan Futuro return to Veneto for matchday 25 of Group B in Serie D, which will see them face Caldiero Terme. The Rossoneri will be looking for consistency after last Sunday’s 1-0 win over Breno. Last matchday’s victory and particularly the performance, which was more impressive than the final score suggests, has brought back joy to the Rossoneri camp after a three-game streak that wasn’t particularly fruitful, especially at home. Following two consecutive matches at the Chinetti, it’s time for an away fixture. It’s in these games on the road that Oddo’s side have demonstrated their best form in 2026 (they are currently on a five-game unbeaten streak on the road, with their last loss dating back to 23 November). This fixture against a challenging opponent is a chance to build consistency in results and evaluate the progress of individual players, including new faces such as Dalpiaz and Primavera call-ups like Lontani and Colombo, as well as the team overall.

In our first encounter of the season, Caldiero Terme came out on top at the Stadio Chinetti, reinforcing their win last season in the Serie C Coppa Italia. In the last matchday, they were narrowly beaten (1-0) away to Scanzorosciate; it was a defeat that marked the end of eight consecutive positive results, including a standout performance in the regional Derby against Chievo Verona, where they won 4-1. Coach Soave's team alternates between a 3-5-2 and a versatile 4-3-1-2. The winter transfer window has also brought some new changes, as Caldiero Terme now have three more players compared to the match played in Solbiate Arno. These players are: defender Ruggeri, who came through the Parma youth system, winger Zappa, and midfielder Zanetti, who already scored in January's 3-0 win over Leon.
