PIOLI: "NOW FOCUS IS ON THE LEAGUE"

The Rossoneri are ready to return to action and prepare to take on Salernitana in matchday 26 of Serie A. The aim is to get back on track in the league and AC Milan - after two consecutive away matches - will be able to count on the support of the San Siro crowd as they face the Campani with renewed energy. On the eve of the match, Coach Pioli gave his pre-match press conference, which was broadcast live on Milan TV, YouTube and Twitch.

DANGERS AFTER LONDON
"We are aware that we have to focus on the league with attention and determination. To repeat the feelings we are experiencing in the Champions League we need to finish in the top four in Serie A, and we are focused on achieving this, we need to find the consistency that we have lacked so far. Salernitana have a similar setup to Tottenham, we will face a team that is fast on the counter-attack and solid in defence".

THE STATE OF THE SQUAD
"The team is doing well physically, mentally and also tactically. We can still improve a lot, and performances like the one in London help us to grow. ZLATAN AND RAFA
"Ibra will not start against Salernitana , he is improving his fitness and will be ready to help us. Leão is giving us a lot and he played well in the last few games, we have to serve him better. Rafa is the player with the most freedom of movement and he has to look for spaces to harm the opponent's defence".

IN EUROPE AND THE LEAGUE
"Compared to last season, we are doing better in Europe, not so much in the league. The goal is to finish in the  Champions League places and every game will be crucial from now on, because there are fewer and fewer to go. Before the quarter-finals we have four matches - difficult and important ones - to play in Serie A, we cannot look beyond that. In the Italian league, all the coaches are prepared tactically, and we will encounter several difficulties starting from tomorrow."

"If individuals improve, the collective also improves. Charles is ok, tomorrow we will see if he will play or not, he is ready to contribute. Saelemaekers has played many times in his career as the wing back, he has similar characteristics to Messias and can replace him. In this system of play Florenzi can play as a winger, Calabria also as a wing back. Brahim is a complete player, he has quality, and he is important for us."
