AC Milan turns its attention back to the Europa League, looking to build on wins over Salzburg and Atalanta. In Bournemouth, where the Rossoneri will take on their hosts tomorrow at the Vitality Stadium at 9:00 PM CEST, Rúben Amorim and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have spoken at the pre-match press conference, live on the AC Milan Official App and YouTube.
RÚBEN AMORIM
LOOKING AHEAD TO BOURNEMOUTH VS. MILAN
"Every match is important. This will be our third group-stage game and another test of where we stand. We're going there to win. There are always technical and tactical aspects we need to improve, and we still have a long way to go. Bournemouth has quality and plays at a high tempo. They have some excellent players who are strong in one-on-one situations. They've made a few changes since I faced them as Manchester United manager, but they haven't lost their identity. I'm returning to England as AC Milan manager. I loved Manchester United, but I'm not thinking about the past. I feel I'm a better coach now, but I believe I'm still the same person I was before."
THE SQUAD
"Ramos' issue is nothing serious. Chukwueze's situation is different, but we'll have a clearer picture in the coming days. We'll rotate the squad, as you'd expect at this stage of the season. Cisse will play, but I'm not telling you in which position. He still has plenty of room for improvement, so we need to give him time. Young players shouldn't be put under pressure. I understand the media's interest, but it's our job to manage them properly. Loftus-Cheek has talent and is still young, with a long career ahead of him. He needs to take a step forward mentally. Estupiñan or Bartesaghi? They have different qualities. My decisions are based not only on what I see in training, but also on what we need for each particular match."
RUBEN LOFTUS-CHEEK
EXPERIENCE, SELF-AWARENESS AND AMBITION
"I consider myself an experienced player, and I feel a sense of responsibility within the squad and on the pitch. Matches like these are always difficult, especially because of the atmosphere, but I'm ready to play my part. Milan deserves my full commitment. I'm at a great club. I'm enjoying my time in Italy, and the experience is helping me grow both as a player and as a person. It's a demanding period, and I want to give everything I have to win as many matches as possible. I've had ups and downs throughout my career and faced plenty of obstacles, but I'm in a good place now and feeling confident. This year, we believe in ourselves more. The squad is united and knows how strong it is. Every day, even in the dressing room and in the little things, I can see everyone's determination to work hard, improve and keep pushing forward with ambition."
