PELLEGRINO: "BEING HERE IS A HUGE RESPONSIBILITY"

He's made his first steps at the Club, given interviews with Milan TV and trained with his teammates. Now, Marco Pellegrino has spoken to the press for the first time. Here's what he had to say in his presentation press conference, which was broadcast live on Milan TV, YouTube and the AC Milan Official App:

ARRIVAL IN ITALY
"It all happened very quickly. It was a dream for me to be in the first team at Platense and now I'm here. I know the history of AC Milan; it's one of the biggest Clubs in the world. Being here is just wonderful and at the same time a huge responsibility". 

CHARACTERISTICS
"I'm still very young and at the start of my career, but in youth team competitions in the past I scored quite a lot. I'm quick and strong when marking; I've always looked up to Maldini and Sergio Ramos. I'm a centre-half, but have played as left-back and also in a three. I see myself, though, as playing left side of central defence." 

IMPRESSIONS OF MILANELLO
"I've just arrived, but the team and setup looks of the highest quality. I've already done a few training sessions and from a technical and tactical point of view the players and Head Coach are helping a lot to settle in. I've spoken with my defensive teammates and will be looking to learn from them as much as possible.". 

PLAYING TENNIS
"I played both football and tennis when I was young, but in the end opted for football. Tennis is an individual sport and you have to have a very strong character; this aspect helped me lots in my development." 

ADVICE FROM MARTIN PALERMO
"I think very highly of him; he gave me my senior debut at Platense and believed in me, and I'll always be grateful. We spoke and he told me that this would be a new and difficult experience, because European football is exactly this. I read that he compared me to Samuel, which is a real honour because he is a historic figure in Argentina; we have some similar characteristics, but also different ones. I hope to be able reach his level."
