The Serbian striker introduced himself at Milanello today

Luka Jović arrived at AC Milan on 1 September, right at the end of the transfer window. After spending time away with his national team, the Serbian striker is now getting down to work at Milanello alongside the Coach and his teammates. Today, Luka held his first press conference, with his words being broadcast on Milan TVYouTube and the AC Milan Official App:

"It's a great honour to be here and to be able to play for such a great Club. I'll do everything to help the team achieve its goals. Coming here was my biggest wish; I decided to wait for an opportunity like this. I could have stayed at Fiorentina, but I'm happy to have been given this chance. We first made contact years ago when I was at Real Madrid, but nothing came of it. Now, I'm here and very happy."

"I'm not in top condition physically, so I need to work hard in the next few weeks to be ready and fully available. I'm following a personalised programme to get into the best possible shape as soon as possible. Coach Pioli told me that believed in me, and I've been given a great welcome. AC Milan represents a big step forward in my career. Things didn't go well in Madrid, but now I'm at one of the biggest clubs in the world and will work hard to get back to a high level."

"I played with Ante (Rebić, Ed.) in Frankfurt, and I talked to him when I arrived here. He had great things to say about the Club and wished me all the best. I was an AC Milan fan as a youngster, just like my father and a few of my friends. A wish of mine has been fulfilled, and I hope to make a contribution."

"Olivier (Giroud) is a great player; he's France's all-time top scorer and played for huge clubs where he's scored many goals and won plenty of trophies. I'm sure I'll be able to learn a lot from him every day, and I'll make a real effort to do so. There's pressure in football, and things can change quickly every match. Here, you always have to deal with pressure, but I don't think I'll have any problems."
