PIOLI: "I HAVE FAITH IN THE SIDE"

The first leg at San Siro was claimed by the Giallorossi, now the anticipation is growing for the second, and decisive, leg at the Olimpico. It is the eve of the Euro Derby, Roma v AC Milan, and there's 90 minutes to be played with a spot in the Europa League semi-finals. At Milanello, Pioli and Rafael Leão spoke in the press conference. Here are their words:
FROM SAN SIRO TO THE OLIMPICO
"We will need to play a high-level game, tightening up the details with regards to last week. I have faith in my players, we revisited the game at San Siro and we know what we have to do on the pitch".
90 MINUTES
"Judgements are often made by the final result, but tomorrow is another game. I am sure that we will give it our all, we are aware that we only have 90 minutes to go through to the next round. Improving the defensive phase is the priority, if we defend well, we can win the game".
MOTIVATION AND AMBITION
"The game is so important that we don't need other motivations. These are games to be played and won, it doesn't matter how you start them. We are the same team that reached the Champions League semi-finals, and next year we will be back in that competition. The level is higher, one of our opponents from the group stage will go through to the final, but we are relatively interested".
AFTER THE FIRST LEG
"The entire squad didn't do well in the first leg. I was disappointed because we could have done more, they were better with the details. We were better against Sassuolo because we brought more energy and we didn't give up. We know how important this game is and now we have two big games for our season ahead of us".
ON TO ROMA V AC MILAN
"We need to make less mistakes than in the first leg. Dybala is a very good player, he does things differently. We spoke after the game and have a good relationship, but I don't like to make comparisons. I want to be a leader on the pitch, I am growing each day and i don't want to stop. We will play for all of us, for AC Milan".
