PIOLI: "THE WORK IS NOT OVER"

Champions League qualification secured but second place still to be decided, a five-point advantage but all to fight for in the league. It is the eve of AC Milan v Genoa, matchday 35 in Serie A scheduled for Sunday at 18:00 CEST at San Siro, and Coach Pioli has spoken at the game's press conference at Milanello. Here's what the Rossoneri coach had to say about the match:

ROSSONERI MAY
"There is a desire to play the best game possible and win, to close down a definitive second-place finish. It is true that outside there is talk about everything except the last four games, but we are focused on these, and we want to do well. The future will be discussed at the end of the season".

ATMOSPHERE AND FANS
"They have been an added value over the last few years, they have supported us in difficult moments. I won't and we won't forget this. I respect their position, we need to think about winning the next game".

GENOA
"I have to compliment Gilardino for his work. He has good players, but he makes them better, I know him well having coached him and he is doing good work. The club has a squad with potential and good skills, they are one of the best newly promoted sides in the top 5 leagues. They know how to defend spaces well and work the ball from the goalkeepers and defenders. It will be important to understand when to be aggressive or more compact".

INDIVIDUALS AND LINE-UP
"Chukwueze is doing well and will play. Up front will be him, Pulisic, Leão and Giroud. If I hadn't picked them before, it's because I felt different skills were needed to win the game. Loftus-Cheek has had a great season and I think he will have more physical consistency next year, he hasn't played like he has this year for a while. Okafor is a good player that is always ready: his dutifulness is an important weapon to be used in more situations. Pobega and Kalulu will be in the squad, they have worked all week and done well. They could also play a good part of the game".

TEAM MOTIVATION
"We have the chance to show we are a serious, cohesive and responsible group with the Club at heart. We wear an important shirt, there is every motivation, and we have not finished our work here. You cannot change the past  but we can commit ourselves to bettering the present. This side has big potential, many of them can do something".  

FOCUS ON THE NOW
"I am absolutely not thinking about my future. We will be thinking about the league alone until 26 May, about the last four games. It will be an important month for all those that play because they can show their skills. Each player must show that they are continuously at a high level, they can play for AC Milan".
