ABRAHAM: "A CHALLENGE AND AN OPPORTUNITY"

He was our final signing of the transfer window, and he made a good impression on his debut in Rome. It’s been a hectic few days for Tammy Abraham, who was officially introduced as an AC Milan player today. The English striker answered questions alongside Rossoneri CEO Giorgio Furlani in a press conference at Casa Milan:

"In football, there’s often too much focus on the price rather than value, which shouldn’t be the case. We think we have signed some strong players who will suit us and contribute to the team’s success. What Tammy has in common with the other arrivals this summer is that he really wanted to join AC Milan. We’re very happy to have him with us and we thank him for that."

A LONG SEASON
"We’ll be involved in four competitions, including the Supercoppa Italiana. We have many matches ahead of us and will need players and goals. This is why we wanted three strikers like Álvaro, Luka and Tammy."

CURRENT SITUATION
"We’re not panicking, and I’d avoid talking about important matches. We’re satisfied with the work the Coach has done to prepare the side, and we’re all with him. It’s not the best period, but we’ll overcome it by working together."

"I’m always ready to face new challenges. I hope I’ll be successful and make a positive impact. When I found out that a club like AC Milan was interested in me, I didn’t think twice. I immediately wanted to come here because it was where I wanted to be. I grew up watching AC Milan triumphs, and it’s wonderful to be able to wear this shirt. I’d like to make Rossoneri history; it’s an ambition and a dream."

"I feel good and want to give everything out on the pitch. I’m ready and focused on what I can bring to the team. My full attention is on AC Milan and what I can do."

NEW TEAMMATES
"I got off the plane and immediately entered the pitch. I haven’t had the chance to talk to everyone yet, and it takes time to build relationships with all your teammates. There are some great players and friends of mine here.”

A NEW EXPERIENCE IN ITALY
"My first season in Italy went very well, but there were difficulties in my second year there. I was out for a while through injury, but this is my opportunity to show that I’m back. It’s wonderful to be here; my heart and head are with AC Milan, and now I’m a fan like everyone else. I’ll do my best to become a legend like Mark Hateley."
