WALKER: "I HAVE AMBITION, I BRING LEADERSHIP"

The Rossoneri defence has just welcomed Kyle Walker. After joining the world of the Rossoneri, as we wait to see him in action, it was time for the official presentation of the English player at Casa Milan. Experience, charisma, and now also his words.

WELCOME, KYLE
"There's no need to present Kyle Walker, his time at Manchester City has already done this. He's a great addition, he's a leader on and off the pitch, he has a lot of character. Even though we have a lot of full-backs, we couldn't say no, it was an opportunity that we couldn't pass up on. For me, he can also play as a centre-back, he did so at City. He will give us a lot, we are confident that he will be important for the team". 

SERENITY AND CONSISTENCY
"Serenity depends on results, we need to be more consistent in the league. We beat Parma because of our attitude, the team is alive and an occasion like that of yesterday can happen and might even be beneficial: the Coach and Calabria are winners, they have shown this. It's all new for me as a Director, the work is completely different. We are not satisfied with how the season has taken shape so far: we want to improve and win". 

MARKET
"We have our objectives and we will try to achieve them, it's not an easy market. We are working, we have clear ideas and I've shared them with the Coach: Conceição has specific ideas, we will try. Giménez is a talented player with a lot of potential, we have a lot of quality in the midfield but we'll see if some opportunities arise. Jović? We will see what's best for everyone, he's doing well and the Coach is happy. Renewals? We're talking with all the players, they're all happy at AC Milan and we have everything under control". 

KYLE WALKER

WELCOME
"It's fantastic being here at AC Milan, I've taken this great opportunity and it's an ambitious choice to continue my career. I will bring my experience and leadership, I want to contribute by giving a boost. There have been highs and lows this season: more consistency is needed, as well as discipline, hunger, playing with passion and the desire to win. We have to put pressure on ourselves to win matches". 

FIRST IMPACT
"The club have shown me their ambition, they showed me an important project. We won the Supercoppa Italiana and that's a good sign, we are doing really well in the Champions League, however, we need to improve in the league. With my age and experience, I can lead the youngest players. There are also other leaders. We will need to persevere, there's been a change of Coach, Conceição has some great ideas about how to build the team: he's welcomed me with open arms". 

NEW INCENTIVES
"I wanted to experience something new, it was the right time and the right Club for me. Ibrahimović has been  on the phone a lot, we have great players and directors, I want to show that I can make a difference in Italy as well as in England. It wasn't easy speaking to Guardiola, we have a great level of respect for each other. We've won a lot, together. Manchester City was my family, I think everyone appreciated me for the way I conducted myself. But now, my mind is only on AC Milan, I want to learn Italian and also win abroad". 

LEÃO AND HERNÁNDEZ
"Rafa has a level of quality which speaks for itself: I've seen him in training, also in the Champions League when I was in Manchester, but also from what I've heard from my Portuguese ex-teammates. It's up to him to be one of the best in the world. You need a bit of confidence, but not arrogance. You have to work hard. I played against Theo with the National Team. He's a top player, just look at the statistics. He's 26 years-old, and this is just the start. I think that this is the most important time for a defender, the peak of your career, because you use your head a lot more, be it in attack or in defence. If he ever needs help, I'll be there, I hope to be there for him at all times". 

DERBY ON THE HORIZON
"I already played Inter, this year in the Champions League. They played with a low-block in Manchester, it was almost like a game of Chess. I'm expecting an exciting match, they'll be looking for revenge after the Supercoppa. It will come down to our mindset, we have to try and give our all, for ourselves and the standings, also for our fans".
