CONCEIÇÃO: "WE KEEP WORKING ON THE DETAILS"

A tricky game at a difficult time. After the Rossoneri's elimination from the Champions League, the team are now focusing on the league and on this key match in obtaining European football next season. Ahead of Torino v AC Milan, on Serie A Matchday 26, Coach Conceição held a press conference the day before the match, broadcast on AC Milan Official App and Milan TV.

TORINO
"It's a very important game against a very tough opponent who have only lost to Bologna in 2025. We have to focus on this game, the attitude has to be as if it were the Champions League final. In Turin, like in all the games left this season. They have many interesting players like Ricci, I see a squad that takes the approach of always getting a good result. We need to take the game into our hands".

AFTER THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
"I've seen the group focused on the next game. We knew we were stronger than Feyenoord, we prepared well, but the details made the difference. Football is a simple thing but there is lots of work needed at every level to tidy up these details. We have to keep working, it's also down to us if there is no time. We have to think about a fourth-place finish and the Coppa Italia, I've seen the lads preparing well".

THEO
"I won't speak about things like hair colour, for me it's enough that players are professional and give their all. I spoke with him after Feyenoord. He is an old hand at the Club, he has brought the fans a lot of joy in a lot of different moments. He understood that he put the squad in a tough position, but we spoke about it in the dressing room with the whole group. He is available for Torino like the other 22 players".

INDIVIDUALS
"Walker is not available, my choices will depend on everyone's fitness. Pulisic can't play a full 90, Gimenez is growing but still isn't at his best. I came in with several players injured or struggling, some like Ruben (Loftus-Cheek) still aren't back and we've been playing every three days, it's not an easy situation to handle".

TURNING THE TIDE
"I'm used to contexts with a lot of pressure. I have a lot of respect for AC Milan's history which is something fantastic, full of big names. When you don't win, at a club like this, there is more talk and the cracks start to show. I knew that it would be tough, this is a big challenge. I'm here because I like difficult things".

MANAGING THE MOMENT
"I experience each situation with great intensity, away from here as well. We're working in a very passionate way every single day. My concern is training and the games that we have to prepare. I'm not scared of anything. It's always better to say what you think, the group is also growing from that point of view: it's right to say things up front. I prefer something harsh but true than something nice but fake".

FOUR UP FRONT
"We're growing, we're still not at our best but we're improving. I'm aiming to have an aggressive side to prevent the opposition from getting in front of our goal, a squad both tight and compact. For me, we can play this type of game, keeping a bit of balance".
