ODOGU: "I WILL WORK HARD TO LEARN AND IMPROVE"

Young but with a promising future ahead, and ready to take on a new challenge in Italian football. David Odogu is the latest addition to the Rossoneri's summer transfer session, and today it's been his turn to speak to the journalists at Casa Milan for his presentation press conference, live on Milan TV and the AC Milan Official App.

YOUNG AGE AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS AT MILAN
"I've had a very warm welcome and the first few days have been excellent. I came here with the determination to be humble and work hard to learn and improve. I'm young, I know that, but I'm here to show that I can start playing at a high level soon. I don't have a lot of experience, but I know my qualities and I know I can compete at a high level. Milanello has everything I need to be ready quickly." 

TECHNICAL QUALITIES
"I'm a central defender who likes to win duels, protect the goal, and direct the defence. I always try to be aggressive, physical, and bring the mindset of someone who wants to win every single match."

THE CALL FROM MILAN
"It was a surprise for me, the day before I had a call from my agent who spoke to me about the possibility of this. But other than being surprised, I am very happy and grateful that the Club believes in me. Everything here is so big and professional, now I know what it means to be part of such a well-organised club like this. Everyone is helping me out and taking care of me."

COACH ALLEGRI'S DEMANDS
"I'm honoured to be able to work with him, and I will be ready for whatever he asks of me. I know he is very talented at working with defenders. I don't mind whether we play three or four at the back, I'm just ready to learn from the coach and his staff."

"The first thing that comes to my mind is Paolo Maldini and other legends like Baresi, Nesta, and Gullit. But also the San Siro. And Kevin Prince Boateng, who was born in Berlin, just like me. It's a happy coincidence that I was born in 2006 in Berlin, in the same year and city that Italy won the World Cup."

UNDER 17 WORLD CUP VICTORY
"An amazing experience that has given me a lot of faith in myself and has allowed me to play against top-level players. Now I have to prove that I am at the level of the other players who have established themselves since the tournament, I'm talking about Cubarsí, Echeverri, Estêvão, and others."

EXPECTATIONS
"Expectations motivate me. In a big Club, you know you have to deal with the pressure, and it excites me. I'll let my performances speak for me, and I will work hard for this."
