Back at San Siro to get back to winning ways and kick-start our run again. AC Milan v Atalanta is our fixture for Matchday 36 of Serie A, and on the eve of the game, Coach Allegri’s customary press conference took place, live on the AC Milan Official App and Milan TV.
ATALANTA MATCH
"Tomorrow is a decisive match because there are only three left now. We are focused on tomorrow and then we'll think about the Genoa and Cagliari games. Everyone must have the desire, the belief and the responsibility to get a result. We've worked well this week and we'll face Atalanta with our eyes on the three points, something that's been missing for a while. They are strong and have the objective of holding onto 7th place, which could earn them a spot in Europe."
END OF THE SEASON
"At this point in the season the physical side matters less, the mental aspect matters more. We must not lose our enthusiasm and we must face Atalanta, Genoa and Cagliari with courage. It is clear that when you come off the back of a defeat like the one at Sassuolo at this point in the season, you see things negatively. But I am not worried, we need to see things in a positive way. Football is beautiful because in 90 minutes everything can change and our destiny is in our own hands. Whatever happens in tomorrow's match, we will be neither in nor out of the Champions League, so every remaining game counts. From tomorrow a mini championship of three matches begins and we start with a three point advantage. If we get results, we will achieve our objective and we will have done well."
THE TEAM'S SITUATION
"Apart from Modrić who is injured, he is doing some individual training but it is almost impossible that he will play the last league match, and Tomori who is suspended, everyone is ready for tomorrow. We'll train and have the final session, then I will decide who to put on the pitch. Substitutes decide matches and so everyone must be fully engaged because we are at a decisive moment. The important thing is that everyone works for AC Milan, because what always remains is the Club. Personal objectives must be put aside in order to achieve the collective one, which is to bring AC Milan back into the Champions League."
RICCI AND JASHARI
"Ricci and Jashari are very reliable players. Jashari is a good signing, unfortunately he has had an injury, it is his first year in Italian football with different rhythms and tactics, and he has had Modrić ahead of him who has played a lot. Ricci is a reliable player and person both from the first minute and during the course of a match."
