The match between AC Milan and Napoli finished 0-0 on matchday 21 of the Serie A TIM season. The Rossoneri showed two different sides at San Siro: Gattuso’s team put in an excellent first-half performance and were in complete control of the match. In the second half, however, the away side hit back and came close on a number of occasions. Nevertheless, it was another superb defensive performance by AC Milan, who managed to limit the spaces between the lines and contain Ancelotti’s skilful side. As already mentioned, the Rossoneri’s defence was on top of its game, with Gigio Donnarumma producing a number of great saves between the sticks. Not only did Gigi put in a great performance, but Bakayoko was tremendous in midfield too. He’s proving to be a charismatic leader in AC Milan’s team. Furthermore, our two new arrivals Paquetá and Piatek made excellent debuts at San Siro. Particularly in the first half, the former managed to show his quality and the speed he likes to play the game at, while the latter, who came on in Cutrone’s place in the second half, helped the team with his movement when Napoli were increasing the pressure. Following this evening’s match, AC Milan sit on 35 points in the league in fourth place and will now wait for the results of tomorrow’s matches.

THE REPORT
At the start, it was Napoli who had the first chance to go ahead through the classic Insigne - Callejon combination. The Spaniard let fly on the volley but Gigio turned it behind for a corner. The match was lively and Milan responded with a Calhanoglu ball for Cutrone, who was unable to hit the target. Halfway through the half, the tempo dropped and defences were on top. The next chance came at the start of the second half when a teasing Cutrone cross ricocheted off Albiol, allowing Kessie to shoot with his left but Malcuit made the block. In the 67th minute, a deflected cross from the Napoli full-back fell to Zielinski, who called Donnarumma into action. In the 78th minute, a glancing header from Piatek set up Musacchio for a shot from a corner but Ospina made the stop. Napoli were dangerous again a few minutes later when Zielinski fired straight at Gigio following a quick break from his side. At the end, Napoli went down to ten men when Fabian Ruiz was shown a second yellow card, and that was the last action of the match.
