At the Sky Sport studios, the curtain was lifted on how the Serie A season will play out with the announcement of the fixtures. AC Milan will kick off on the weekend of 24/25 August at the Dacia Arena against Udinese. In the same fixture last season, a goal from the captain Romagnoli was enough to win the game for the Rossoneri. The first match at San Siro will be on 1 Septemberagainst newly-promoted Brescia. The second away trip will against another newly-promoted side at the Stadio Bentegodi on 15 September against Hellas Verona.

The Milan Derby will be on matchday 4 when it's AC Milan v Inter at San Siro on 22 September and it promises to be a great spectacle. The second big match of the campaign will be on 27 October away to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. November looks to be a particularly tough month for Marco Giampaolo's side with three difficult fixtures. AC Milan v Lazio is on matchday 11 on 3 November, Juventus v AC Milan on matchday 12 on 10 November before the third break of the season. After that, Carlo Ancelotti's Napoli will head to San Siro on 24 November. The Rossoneri’s 2019 will end on 22 December in Bergamo against Atalanta while 2020 will start at San Siro on 5 January against Sampdoria. The final match in the first half of the season will be against Cagliari on 12 January.

There will be five breaks in Serie A all season. The first three will be for international fixtures on 8 September 2019, 13 October 2019 and 17 November 2019. For the Christmas holidays, there will be no fixtures between 22 December 2019 and 5 January 2020. The final break is on Sunday 29 March 2020, once again due to international commitments. The final day falls on 24 May 2020. There will be three rounds of midweek fixtures on 25 September 2019, Wednesday 30 October 2019 and Wednesday 22 April 2020.

Kick-off times have also changed slightly for evening matches which will now officially return to starting at 20:45 compared to 20:30 like last season.
