An important and deserved win. The Rossoneri emerged triumphant at the Tardini, beating Parma 1-0 thanks to a late Hernández goal as he continues to make a difference, especially in attack. It was not an easy game but one that Milan approached well, creating various chances. Late in the second half and with hopes fading, Theo stepped up to score his third goal of the season and his third on the road to secure the result for a side that had been playing well but one that was struggling to take its chances. It’s a shot in the arm for Stefano Pioli’s side who are still in a disappointing position in the table but the performances are improving. Thanks to this win after the 14th match of the Serie A season, Milan now have 17 points. Bologna away is up next at 20:45 CET on Sunday 8th December at the Stadio Dall’Ara.

    THE REPORT

The Rossoneri got off to an aggressive and attacking start. In the second minute, Çalhanoğlu had a shot but failed to hit the target before Romagnoli headed over in the fifth minute. Milan continued to dominate the game and more chances followed. In the 23rd minute, Kessie’s excellent right-foot shot was kept out by an excellent Sepe save before Piątek headed just wide in the 24th minute. On 30 minutes, Parma posed a threat through Hernani. In the 34th minute, Çalhanoğlu called Sepe into action again. In the 37th minute, Bonaventura failed to hit the target with his effort on the slide. Just before the half-time whistle, Kucka missed the target. At the start of the second half, Milan continued to press with a Suso left-foot effort whizzing past the post on the hour. The match became stop-start due to fatigue, substitutions and mistakes. Leão in the 72nd minute, Gervinho in the 74th and Suso in the 80th all fired over from good positions. In the 82nd minute, Çalha had a great sight of goal but the shot was too weak, A minute later, a powerful Suso effort was saved. The deadlock was finally broken in the 88th minute through Hernández. After a rebound fortunately fell at his feet, Theo left Sepe with no chance and picked out the corner to net the winner. There were a few minor scares at the other end before the final whistle and Milan left with the win.
