After several chances, Rafael Leão broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute with a precise right-footed shot from outside the box, assisted by Fofana. The Rossoneri continued to press, and in the 45th minute, Pavlović doubled the lead with a close-range header from a Pulisic corner. Udinese attempted to respond, but AC Milan's defense held firm, closing the first half at 2-0.
In the second half, AC Milan continued to dominate, despite Maignan's injury forcing Coach Conceição to bring on Sportiello in the 55th minute.
