ROSSONERI DRAW AT HOME

It ends 1-1 at San Siro as Leão cancels out Paz's opener

AC Milan drew 1-1 with Como on matchday 24 in Serie A. The match was evenly contested, with Como taking the lead in the 31st minute thanks to a goal from Nico Paz. The Rossoneri responded in the second half as Rafael Leão finished off a fine Ardon Jashari assist. AC Milan remain in second place in the table on 54 points, with the Rossoneri consolidating their position in the race to qualify for next season's Champions League. Despite having to settle for a draw, the Rossoneri have extended their unbeaten league run to 24 games, showing both solidity and determination.

Massimiliano Allegri's men played some good football but struggled to convert the chances they created. Como defended solidly, making it difficult for the Rossoneri to find space. In the second half, AC Milan increased the pressure and found the equaliser through a fantastic goal from Leão, who made the most of an excellent ball over the top from Jashari. In a tense end to the match - with Allegri sent off in the 81st minute - AC Milan continued to push for a winning goal but were unable to find the net for a second time. Overall, the performance was positive, with good build-up play and a solid defensive display, giving reason for optimism ahead of the fixtures to come, starting from AC Milan v Parma on Sunday.

MATCH REPORT
The first half began at an intense pace, with both teams trying to take control of the game but without creating many goalscoring opportunities in the opening minutes. Butez denied Leão in the 30th minute, but Como took the lead two minutes later thanks to a strike from Nico Paz that caught Maignan off guard. AC Milan tried to respond immediately but found it difficult to break through the opposition's defence. In the 34th minute, Tomori had a chance to equalise, but his effort was saved by Butez. The visitors came close to doubling their lead, with Maignan having to intervene on a shot from Sergi Roberto in the 39th minute.

Coach Allegri attempted to turn the match around with substitutions at the start of the second half, and in the 63rd minute Leão found the equaliser with a precise lob, capitalising on Jashari’s assist. The Rossoneri came close to taking the lead in the 70th minute, when Saelemaekers delivered a cross for Fofana, whose twisting header went over the bar. The match became more physical, with several bookings for both sides. There was a heated finale, with a red card for each bench (Allegri for the Rossoneri), and chances at both ends: Pulisic in the 84th minute, Douvikas in the 87th, and above all Rodríguez and Valle deep into stoppage time. Despite the efforts, the score remained 1–1 until the final whistle.
