ROSSONERI DRAW AWAY AT JUVENTUS

A draw conceded so late, with victory within touching distance, can only hurt and leave a bitter taste. The Rossoneri return from Turin with a draw that can be considered a fair result in light of what was seen on the pitch. AC Milan and Juventus finished 1-1, with Alphadjo Cisse scoring in the 68th minute eight minutes after coming on before Federico Gatti equalised in the 92nd minute. A superb goal from Alpha, his second in the league after the one he scored on his debut, once again in Turin but against Torino. However, it was not enough to secure all three points, but it did justice to the team’s performance, perhaps less attacking than on other occasions, but nevertheless focused and responsible on an important stage.
The performance is part of a positive start to the season, with the team showing the right amount of courage and the necessary desire to build constructive play in every area of the pitch. Every match is a test but also an opportunity to grow, and the group’s attitude is the right one. After three league matches, with the trip to Rome on the horizon, the Rossoneri remain unbeaten and continue to occupy the upper reaches of an inevitably tightly packed table. Lazio await us on Saturday, with the desire to surprise once again and the determination fuelled by those three points slipping away at the very end.

THE MATCH
Three changes to the starting XI for Mister Amorim, who handed Diego Moreira, Saelemaekers and Rabiot a starting spot, with the latter two sharing the attacking midfield role behind Ramos. The hosts registered the first attempts of the match, with Alajbegović and González going close, the Argentine proving the more dangerous as he forced Maignan into a punch. The Rossoneri then produced their first attacking move, orchestrated by Modrić towards Estupiñan, with Ramos setting up Rabiot, who fired over while on the run. The game remained finely balanced, with both defences alert and dominant in the air. The Bianconeri tried again in the 38th minute through a burst from Conceição, but Mike was equal to it at his near post.
The second half began at a much faster pace, with AC Milan doing well to exploit the spaces Juventus left open. However, it was the hosts who struck the post on the counter after winning the ball back in midfield, once again through Conceição. The first changes came just before the hour mark for Coach Amorim, with Chukwueze, Cisse and Loftus-Cheek introduced in an attempt to inject some energy into the match. The spark duly arrived a few minutes later with Cisse's opening goal. He brought Chukwu's cross-field pass under control, set himself up onto his right foot and found the far corner. A masterpiece, AC Milan took the lead in the 68th minute! Spalletti added more attacking threat by bringing on new signing Woltemade, who sent a left-footed effort over the bar in the 85th minute, giving Maignan a scare. In stoppage time, substitute Gatti headed Koopmeiners' cross into the net to level the match. The final score was 1-1.
