From the league to the Coppa Italia: the Rossoneri's cup run begins with a Round of 16 tie against a side, which they recently faced in Serie A, Torino. Kick-off is set for 20:45 CET at San Siro, so let's get warmed up for the match with the main stats and fun facts.

    RECORD AT SAN SIRO

1- AC Milan and Torino have met eleven times at San Siro in the Coppa Italia; the Rossoneri have won six of these to the Granata's two, three draws complete the picture.

2- AC Milan have won their last two home games against Torino in the cup, scoring six goals; the most recent of these meetings was the 4-2 win in extra time in the quarter-final last season.

    HEAD-TO-HEAD

3- This is the fourth time that AC Milan and Torino have met in the Round of 16 in the Coppa Italia; the Granata won the first tie at this stage in the competition (1961), while the Rossoneri have progressed to the quarters in each of the last two (2000 and 2017).

    CURRENT FORM

4- AC Milan have progressed past the Round of 16 in each of the last eleven seasons, after having been knocked out at this stage in the two previous campaigns (against Catania in 2007/08 and Lazio in 2008/09).

5- AC Milan will play three consecutive home games in all competitions for the first time since 2018; the third and final game on that occasion was also against the Granata (goalless draw in Serie A).

6- The last time AC Milan played two consecutive games against the same team in all competitions was in January 2019 against Napoli: 0-0 in Serie A and a 2-0 win in the quarter-final of the Coppa Italia.

    PLAYER FOCUS

7- On 28 January 2020, against Torino in the Coppa Italia, Zlatan Ibrahimović scored his first goal at San Siro following his return to AC Milan. Seven of the Swede's eleven goals in all competitions this season have come at the Meazza, inluding a brace in the away fixture in the Derby.

8- The first of Hakan Çalhanoğlu's two braces with the Rossoneri was bagged against Torino in the quarters of the cup last season (the other against Bodø/Glimt in Europa League qualifying).

9- Hakan Çalhanoğlu has had a hand in more goals than any other AC Milan player this season: 14 (six goals and eight assists), followed by Zlatan Ibrahimović (13: eleven goals and two assists).

    COACH FOCUS

10- Stefano Pioli replaced Marco Giampaolo, Torino's current boss, as AC Milan head coach. Pioli has, since then, coached the Rossoneri in 61 games (36W, 17D, 8L).
