AC Milan are preparing to take on Roma on matchday 4 of the Women's Serie A Championship Round. The game at the PUMA House of Football kicks off at 16:00 CET on Saturday 22 March. Suzanne Bakker's side are looking to get a result against Spugna's team. Now that we're into the business end of the season, both teams will be hoping to improve their standings. Take a look at our Match Preview:

LATEST FROM PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
AC Milan go into this game following a hard-fought 3-3 draw with Inter, meaning that the Rossonere are still unbeaten in the Championship Round this season. Despite the tough match-ups, AC Milan have proven that they can compete with the best as they continue their growth in 2025. Bakker's team are ready to give it everything so that they can get a point or three from Roma and continue to build a solid foundation following their recent performances. The Dutch coach will have nearly the entire squad at her disposal; only long-term absentees Babb, Grimshaw and Zanini are unavailable. Nadine Sorelli is one booking away from a suspension.

    LATEST FROM ROMA
The reigning champions had a bye-week last time out. In their two previous outings in the Championship Round, the Giallorosse lost 4-3 away at Juventus and won 2-1 against Inter (95th-minute Di Guglielmo winner. Those results haven't really changed the situation in the table for Roma, who remain in third, a long way from top spot - and a potential third league title in a row - but still in a good position to qualify for Europe next season. They are also through to the Coppa Italia final after they beat Sassuolo over two legs. The Giallorosse are in good form overall but have struggled away from home of late (just one win in their last five away games in Serie A: against Napoli in December). Last time out against Inter, Spugna opted for a new-look 3-4-1-2, deploying young starlet Dragoni further up the pitch, operating in front of Manuela Giugliano, who is their top scorer this season with ten goals and also one of the many exes in the game. No cautions or suspensions for Roma.

    PRE-MATCH STATS

    • After a run of ten Serie A games against Roma without a win (D4, L6), AC Milan won the most recent meeting: a 3-2 win on 25 January with goals from Arrigoni, Koivisto and Cernoia. The Rossonere could make it two straight wins against the Giallorosse in the top flight following a run of five wins in the first five meetings between 2018 and 2020.
    • AC Milan have drawn their last three games in Serie A and have never drawn four in a row in the competition. Among the sides currently in the division, only two have recorded four consecutive draws in the three-points-per-win era (since 1995/96): Napoli (between March and April 2026) and Lazio (between April and May 2000).
    • Only Juventus (18) have scored more goals from set pieces than AC Milan and Roma (12) in Serie A this season. Furthermore, no side has conceded fewer as a percentage of their goals conceded than the Rossonere (7/33, 21%, same as Fiorentina). However, five of those seven goals conceded came from corners, and Roma have scored the most goals from corners in the league this season: eight.
    • Since her arrival in Italy (2023/24), Evelyn Ijeh has had more goal involvement in Serie A than any other AC Milan player (15: 10 goals and 5 assists). After her goal in the 3-3 derby draw, the Swede could score in two consecutive games for the second time in the league, after a three-game run between October and November last year (one of those was against Roma).

WHERE TO WATCH AC MILAN v ROMA ON TV
In Italy, the game will be broadcast live on DAZN and Raispot. Don't miss the coverage on our Instagram account, acmilan.com and our Official App, where the full highlights will be available on demand from the day after the game.

    LATEST FROM WOMEN'S SERIE A
Mattia Drigo will referee the game, his first of the season involving the Rossonere (though he has reffed our Men's Primavera twice). Cillemi and Pignatelli are his assistants and the fourth official is Tassano.

There are two fixtures on matchday 4 of the Championship Round: at 16:30 on Saturday 22 March, we have AC Milan v Roma, and at 12:30 on Sunday it's Fiorentina v Inter.

Here are the current standings in the Championship Round: Juventus* 49; Inter 39; Roma 38; Fiorentina 32; Milan* 28.
