SERIE A WOMEN'S CUP, JUVENTUS v AC MILAN: MATCH PREVIEW

It all comes down to 90 minutes. The winner of Group C in the Serie A Women's Cup - and the team that will progress to the Final Four - will be decided when Juventus and AC Milan go head-to-head in Biella. Both sides have impressed in their opening outings of the season and will be determined to produce their best at the Lamarmora-Pozzo. A win or a draw will be enough for the Bianconere, while the Rossonere are looking to build on the two victories they recorded against Juventus last season. LATEST FROM THE PUMA HOUSE OF FOOTBALL
The impressive performance against Como 1907 made up for the disappointment of the draw with Como Women. After their opening 180 competitive minutes of the season, the Rossonere have earned the chance to fight for a place in the next round against Juventus. The team will travel to Biella for the second of three Juventus v AC Milan encounters taking place on Sunday 6 September, with the Men's First Team and Primavera also in action. The Rossonere will, however, be without Angelica Soffia through suspension. The rest of the squad is available and in good shape, particularly in attack: after Kanutte found the net in the opening game, Kyvåg and Kamczyk opened their accounts for the season last weekend.

Suzanne Bakker's pre-match statement: "Last weekend was a good win against Como 1907, now this Sunday we will play against Juventus. The only thing that will count is to win, because we want to reach the semi-final. The group has worked really well this week, training really hard as we've prepared ourselves in the best way."

Last season brought mixed fortunes for Juventus. The Bianconere won the Women's Cup and Supercoppa Italiana but were inconsistent in the league, finishing outside the top two for the first time. They made significant changes over the summer, starting with the appointment of head coach Isaac Guerrero, who previously worked on the coaching staffs of Barcelona and the United States. Juventus began their season in early August with the Women's Champions League qualifiers, progressing after overcoming Torreense, Hammarby and St. Pölten. They drew 1-1 with the Austrian side in this week's return leg after winning the first meeting 3-0 in Austria. In the Women's Cup, meanwhile, they have recorded two clean-sheet victories against Como 1907 (2-0) and Como Women (1-0). Portuguese forward Pinto has been in excellent form, as have new signings Chiba of Japan and Redondo of Spain, with the trio scoring seven goals between them.

PRE-MATCH STATISTICS

• This will be the 25th meeting between AC Milan and Juventus across all women's competitions. The head-to-head record favours the Bianconere, but the Rossonere won both encounters in 2025/26: 2-1 in Fiorenzuola d’Arda and 1-0 in Biella.
• AC Milan have remained unbeaten in eight of their last ten competitive matches, including the final games of last season. Victory would make them only the third team to beat Juventus in three consecutive meetings, after Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
• One of Thea Kyvåg's five goals in Rossonere colours (she scored against Como 1907 last time out) came against Juventus in the previous meeting on 15 March. Since bagging her first goal in Italy on 21 December 2025, the Norwegian has been AC Milan's leading scorer and is the only Rossonere player to have scored in three different competitions.

Serie A Women’s Cup Matchday 3 will get underway at 17:30 CEST on Saturday 5 September with two Group B fixtures: Sassuolo v Ternana Women and Roma v Fiorentina.
