Although it was tougher than expected, AC Milan’s Primavera side overcame Venezia and secured their third win in a week. Having beaten Pordenone in the league and Sampdoria on penalties in the Coppa Italia, Coach Giunti's Rossoneri won again. After a convincing first half, going in two goals up with a lead that could have easily been greater, the Primavera side really dropped off in the second half, allowing Venezia back into a match with goals from Mazzoletti and Candic. However, it was Marco Brescianini who stepped up once again with a goal from the spot to make sure that the three points went to Milan, and deservedly so. With this win Milan climbed to seven points in the table, facing Cittadella away next Saturday.

    MATCH REPORT
The first half was a thriller: Milan got their heads down and attacked relentlessly, producing a stream of chances against a breathless Venezia. The opener came from Tonin in the 22nd minute, as he received the ball on the edge, drove into the area and fired a powerful shot off his left into the top corner. After several attempts, Luan Capanni scored his first Rossoneri goal in the league in the 38th minute with an impressive deft lob. A wondergoal to make it 2-0. In the second half Giunti’s side took their foot off the gas and allowed Venezia a way back into the match: first Mazzoletti's header following a corner in the 54th minute, then Candic beat Jungdal with a smart finish in the 67th. However, the Rossoneri did not let their heads drop and won a penalty, which Brescianini tucked away to make it 3-2 at full-time.
