AC Milan Primavera just can’t stop. Federico Giunti’s team were absolutely dominant in this first meeting of the teams in the Primavera Serie A , against a Hellas Verona side who had gone unbeaten in the league until this game. The Rossoneri ran out 5-0 winners, and it was a deserved scoreline for Milan, who controlled the match from the first whistle to the final. The quintet of goals, which all came in the second half, demonstrate Milan’s superiority and move them closer to claiming top spot in the championship. Hellas Verona remain in first place but their lead has been cut to just one point. Sala opened the scoring and he was followed by Maldini, Pecorino and Brescianini, before Sala rounded off the thrashing with another goal for himself. Verona, who had won all their previous matches and had only conceded six goals before this game, crumbled in the face of a confident Milan onslaught. Milan have now won five matches in a row between the league and the Coppa Italia. They return to action against Brescia on Saturday 23 November.

THE REPORT
Milan started the game as they meant to go on, as Maldini on two occasions and then Pecorino produced three good chances in the opening quarter of the match, but were unable to convert any of them. Hellas looked to respond through Yeboah and Sane, but Soncin was aware to any danger. It ended 0-0 at half time, but after that Milan went wild. Yeboah had the opening chance of the second half but it was Sala who opened the scoring; Pecorino hit the crossbar following a cross from Maldini and Sala was there to tuck the rebound away. A minute later Daniel Maldini made it 2-0 on the hour mark: his right-footed shot took a deflection and caught Ciezkowsky unaware who let the ball slip through his gloves. Pecorino’s goal in the 63rd minute effectively ended the game as a contest, who finished past the Verona keeper after being played clean through. Brescianini scored his sixth of the season in 71st minute and Sala bagged his brace in the 90th minute after a great assist from Olzer.
