From Cittadella to Cittadella. On 5 October 2019, the Rossoneri drew 1-1 with the Granata. Since then, only wins have followed. Eleven wins in a row, to be precise. Today’s victory completed the cycle with a 7-3 fireworks show at the Stadio Vismara, AC Milan bossing the second half after a hard-fought first 45. For the third time this season, following thrashings against Parma and Pordenone, the Rossoneri scored at least six goals in a single match, further consolidating their position at the top of the league. A hat-trick for Colombo and a double for Olzer accompanied Capanni and Tonin’s customary goals, as the Rossoneri reached 41 points and 48 goals from just 15 league games, an average of more than three goals per game. Next Saturday Giunti’s boys will face Cremonese away, preparing themselves to take another big step towards their return to Primavera 1.

MATCH REPORT
Despite the Rossoneri dominating the opening phases, it was instead the away side who took the lead as Varotto headed Cittadella in front in the 17th minute. The game was drawn level just ten minutes later as Capanni tapped in, and Olzer made the most of Plechero’s mistake in the 30th minute to give Milan the lead. However this didn’t last long, Cittadella equalising themselves after 34 minutes as Diallo found space in behind the Rossoneri defence. AC Milan grabbed another goal just before the break, Olzer netting a penalty won by Tonin. It was in the second half that AC Milan really found their form, Colombo heading home for 4-2 and Tonin capping off a super performance of with goal number five. Colombo however stole the headlines with two more goals in the 63rd and 90th minutes for a hat-trick on the day and a current streak of five goals in just his last two appearances for the Primavera (90 minutes in total). Tomassi nicked a consolation goal for Cittadella to make it 7-3 at full-time.
