Coach Giunti's side secure promotion to the Primavera 1 division following a 3-1 success over SPAL

Mission complete. Game, set and match for AC Milan Primavera on their first match point. Today, the Rossoneri Under-19s emerged victorious, achieving promotion to the Primavera 1 division in the process. The team picked up their 14th consecutive win against second-place SPAL, meaning the Diavolo now sit 13 points ahead of the Biancazzurri with four games remaining. The Rossoneri can no longer be caught, a fact that Coach Giunti's lads can deservedly celebrate. This afternoon at Vismara, a first half played at high tempo was enough to seal the victory as Colombo, Olzer and Sala all got on the scoresheet in the opening period. SPAL tried to fight back in the second half and scored through Babbi, but the result was never in danger. With four matches still left to play, the objective for this season has been achieved: AC Milan have secured promotion to the Primavera 1 division at the first time of asking.

After a cagey opening 15 minutes where both teams were looking to figure one another out, the Rossoneri took the lead through ColomboSala did well to win back possession at the edge of the box and play the ball to the No.9, whose shot towards the near post wasn't cleanly struck but found its way past Meneghetti. This was Lorenzo's seventh goal of the season. Now in the ascendancy, AC Milan weren't about to rest on their laurels. Indeed, the Rossoneri doubled their advantage with 22 minutes on the clock: Tonin got the better of Peda on the wing before precisely picking out Olzer, who was left with the simple task of putting the ball in the net. In added time at the end of the first half, and after a number of chances to score a third, the Diavolo finally made it 3-0: SPAL goalkeeper Galeotti, on in Meneghetti's place, wasn't able to decisively deal with Tonin's cross and Sala then did well to control the ball and fire home to extend the lead. SPAL came back into it after the restart and reduced the arrears through Babbi midway through the half, but Coach Giunti's side were able to come away with a comfortable win. In doing so, they secured the league title.
