WEEKEND RESULTS: AN EIGHT‑GOAL WIN FOR THE WOMEN'S PRIMAVERA

In our summary of how the Rossoneri Youth Sector got on at the weekend, we’re starting with the women’s Primavera side, who bounced back from their midweek defeat to Juventus with an excellent victory over Tavagnacco (hat-tricks for Avallone and Renzotti). Thanks to this success, Coach Corti’s Rossonere have moved to within one point of the Bianconere, who lost away to Sampdoria, and maintained their advantage over third-place Inter with three matchdays of the regular season remaining.

On a weekend when the schedule wasn’t particularly heavy, the victories recorded by the U16s and U15s over Cittadella on the final matchday of the regular season stand out. Abate’s side had already progressed to the National Finals, with their 9-1 victory (a hat-trick from Sia) ensuring that they topped their group. Bertuzzo’s team, meanwhile, needed at least a point to rubber-stamp qualification, and their 4-1 victory saw them seal first place too. Well done, lads!
