Lots of heart but little clarity, the second half of the Primavera's campaign starts with an unlucky defeat away to Atalanta. The Rossoneri didn't manage to complete the comeback this time, Bonanomi's first-half goal sealed the 1-0 defeat at the Carillo Pesenti Pigna stadium. They held on to the possession until the very end but struggled to get going, AC Milan lacked goals and were surprised by the first real chance of the game. The reaction to be proud of, combined with the pressure in the final moments, wasn't enough to change the outcome of the game.
At points, the Rossoneri deserved to at least draw, but an under-rhythm first half led to difficulties after the break with the hosts who sat back to defend once they went ahead. Coach Abate played Marco Pellegrino for the full 90 minutes as part of the backline that also saw Bartesaghi back on the left. Onwards right away to the next fixture: on Saturday 27 January, Roma will come to visit the PUMA House of Football on Matchday 19 of the Primavera 1. Forza ragazzi!

MATCH REPORT
The pace was quite contained at the start. The Rossoneri were in charge of the possession but Atalanta went ahead with the first chance of the game through Bonanomi in the 19th minute. The first goal livened up the game. AC Milan pushed forward but couldn’t find the space to score, whilst the hosts tried to make the most of their positive moment with Colombo having a go in the 24th minute but failing to find the target. Nothing much changes, in the 38th minute, Raveyre managed to keep Tavanti out and in the 43rd minute, Camarda chested the ball down and shot from distance, Pardel acted quickly to stop the shot. Half time.
AC Milan upped the pace of the game. In the 49th minute, Raveyre does well with a shot from Manzoni whilst in the 53rd minute, Cuenca’s rabona for Camarda didn’t end in a goal, the number 9 couldn’t get his head to it. In the 71st minute, a dangerous free kick from Victor brushed the post and Camarda threatened Pardel once again with a powerful shot in the 73rd minute. The Rossoneri push hard in the final minutes. In the 87th minute, Simmelhack made a good run in but Camarda's pass from deep wasn't quite enough, and in the 90th minute, Bartesaghi almost made it level with a header that went just high. The final pressure doesn’t reward Abate’s side, it ended 1-0.
