Back-to-back! Following their victory in 2023, AC Milan once again claims the Viareggio Women's Cup in 2024: the young Rossonere decisively defeated the Under 19 Representative Team of the Lega Nazionale Dilettanti, with a final score of 4-0. Unlocking the match towards the end of the first half with Longobardi's goal, Zago's girls sealed the deal early in the second half with two quick goals from Appiah (the tournament's top scorer) and Cesarini. In the final minutes, the fourth goal came, thanks to Maria Vittoria Cappa. A well-deserved victory for a team that continues its important growth journey in the best possible way.
The victory in Torre del Lago is made even sweeter by the small revenge against their opponent in the Final, who had defeated Sorelli and her teammates in the group stage last Saturday. In three seasons of activity, the Rossonere Women's Primavera clinch their second trophy, confirming the high level of the AC Milan project. Indeed, many of the girls who took the field in today's Final have grown through the ranks of our youth teams. A splendid afternoon that will surely serve as valuable fuel for the continuation of a season that we hope will bring further great satisfaction. Well done, girls!

MATCH REPORT
The match started with a lot of balance, with the Rossonere constantly pushing forward in search of the opening goal. In the 14th minute, the first great opportunity for Zago's team arose: a persistent action ended with Longobardi's assist to Stokić. The Serbian striker shot but found a clearance on the goal line by Bauce, with Minnei putting the rebound out. In the 26th minute, a beautiful through ball from Cesarini to Longobardi, but Cazzioli denied her with a save. Another chance came in the 36th minute from a corner, with Zanini cutting to the far post and narrowly missing her shot. The deserved lead for the Rossonere came just before the halftime whistle, in the 44th minute: a low cross from Stokić, and a pristine touch in the small area by Longobardi for the 1-0.
After the goal and the halftime break, the Rossonere returned strongly from the locker rooms, scoring two quick goals that sealed the deal. In the 50th minute, the newly entered Appiah sprinted down the right, entered the box, and shot, beating Cazzioli and doubling the lead. The third goal came in the 55th minute, after Stokić's central run led to a penalty for Milan. Cesarini stepped up to take it, sending Cazzioli the wrong way for the Rossonere's 3-0 lead. The triple advantage didn't stop Zago's team, who continued to create chances. In the 72nd minute, another counterattack by Appiah and in the 74th minute, another central run by Stokić: both opportunities were met with responses from the opposing goalkeeper. The fourth goal came late in the game, in the 86th minute, when the newly entered Cappa - served by a throw-in - outplayed her opponent with a beautiful chip and beat the goalkeeper on the run out. And at the final whistle, the Rossonere's celebration erupted!
