PRIMAVERA HELD TO A DRAW BY CREMONESE

1-1 was the final result on Matchday 22 of the Championship

A draw with a bitter taste in the mouth. In Cremona, the Primavera were held to a 1-1 draw by Cremonese on MD22 of the championship. A result unreflective of the performance of Mister Guidi's Rossoneri, who for long stretches of the match were superior to the opponents but unable to capitalise on the numerous chances. No continuity, then, after the home success against Lecce in the midweek round. Bonomi's goal in the 17th minute was answered at the start of the second half by Nahrudnyy.

Several decisive saves by the opponent's goalkeeper Malovec, especially in the second half, but also a phenomenal save by Duțu at the end of the match, to avoid the mockery of defeat, which would have been extremely harsh on the team. This single point brings us to 37 points in the standings, firmly in fifth place alongside Juventus and seven points behind Roma in the lead. The next fixture will be at the PUMA House of Football, against Bologna on Saturday 1 February at 13:00 CET.

MATCH REPORT
The pitch was heavily weighed down
by the heavy rain of the past few days and in the first few minutes, the quality of the game suffered as a result. We found the goal at the first real opportunity of the match, thanks to a crucial initiative by Pippo Scotti, who ran past the defenders, jumped over the goalkeeper, and then put the ball in the middle for Bonomi, who scored the 0-1 breakthrough, finding the net for the first time in over two months. Once the game was unblocked, we continued to attack in search of the doubling goal, which we deserved but did not arrive: Scotti tried from the edge of the box after a beautiful run, but his shot was too central. In the 32nd minute, Bakoune missed a chance from close range, and in the 36th minute Ossola's attempt was saved by the keeper, while the same Malovec once again thawrted Scotti's run. 0-1 at the break.

At the beginning of the second half, after a lot of attacking on our part, Cremonese equalised at the first opportunity with Nahrudnyy, who arrived at the far post to capitalise on a low cross. Our reaction was fierce and produced several real chances: Bonomi from the edge of the box in the 55th minute, just wide; a minute later it was Liberali's turn, whose attempt at the far post was inches wide. There was a great chance for Scotti in the 69th minute, when he took a one-touch shot from the centre of the box, unfortunately deflected by the defence. Ossola also tried in the 71st minute with a left-footer from the edge of the box, which was met by an impressive save. The mockery was avoided by Duțu in the 80th minute, who saved Gabbiani's attempt from a few steps away. It ended 1-1.
